A full field of horses has been named for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper at Rosehill Racecourse this Saturday April 7, 2012.
With race favourite All Too Hard out of the picture, Samaready is now the star of the 16 horses Golden Slipper field.
Samaready has won all four of her previous race starts, with her biggest win coming in the Grup 1 Blue Diamond Stakes two starts back.
The two-year-old scored her most recent win in the Group 2 Reisling Stakes on March 24, 2012, in what was her final lead-up run into the 2012 Golden Slipper Stakes.
All eyes will be on the 2012 Golden Slipper barrier draw, which will take place at 12pm (AEST) today, to see whether the More Than Ready filly can secure an optimum barrier for the race.
Trainer Gai Waterhouse has the most representatives in the 2012 Golden Slipper field.
Her five runners consist of Pierro, Raceway, No Looking Back, Driefontein and Later Gator.
Driefontein will also go into the 2012 Golden Slipper unbeaten after four successful career runs.
The Fastnet Rock filly claimed her biggest win in the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast on January 14, 2012, and has since won the Listed Widden Stakes at Warwick Farm.
There is also much hype surrounding the running of Pierro, who has won all three of his race starts.
The Lonhro colt has won both the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes and the Group 2 Todman Stakes this preparation, and will go into the 2012 Golden Slipper third-up.
