Boilover At Rosehill – Mirjulisa Lass Wins Vinery Stud Stakes

In what will probably be the upset of the day Mirjulisa Lass has claimed victory over a host of more fancied rivals in the Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill Gardens.

At a hefty $61 with online bookmaker Luxbet, Mirjulisa Lass had few friends in the betting ring but a crew of noisy supporters in the owners area.

Big favourite Brazilian Pulse was given far too much to do by jockey Craig Williams running three wide the entire trip and then ducking back for a inside run in a very strange performance.

With the pace on early it looked like Do Ra Mi was set for big things with the run of the race seemingly hers with perfect track position.

Mirjulisa Lass was much further back in the field, ridden patiently until the home turn when the track just opened up for her on the inside.

Fibrillation came right around the field to gain a run on the other side of the track but the extra metres he had to travel meant he was never going to challenge the winner.

With 300m to go the race was won with Mirjulisa Lass grabbing an incredible Group 1 victory for her owners who paid a mere $2500.

Fibrillation showed plenty of class to storm home for second while Brazilian Pulse still managed to hit the line for third after all her wasted effort.

From here plenty of these will be heading to the AJC Oaks with the extra few metres to make things very interesting.

For now though it’s party time for connections with a big night ahead in Sydney for all those involved with Mirjulisa Lass.
